Dr. Xiushi Suzy Liu is a board certified cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist, a Fellow in Heart Rhythm Society (FHRS). Her expertise includes diagnosing and managing heart rhythm disorders: palpitation, tachycardia, bradycardia, syncope, sudden cardiac arrest. She also take care of cardiac patients diagnosed with coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure and valvular heart disease. Last but not least, preventive care is paramount in achieving cardiac wellbeing.

Cardiac arrhythmia such as atrial fibrillation is the most common, yet under-recognized rhythm disorder afflicting many patients, especially the aging population. Arrhythmia symptoms can range from mild to life-threatening. They are still facing not infrequently the challenge of delayed referrals, leading to potential delayed diagnosis and proper treatment.

Over the past 30 years, cardiac electrophysiology has evolved from a diagnostic tool into an indispensable therapeutic modality to treat cardiac arrhythmia and heart failure. It entails minimally invasive procedures like catheter ablation for complex arrhythmia; to give a few examples, providing cure or at least remarkable improvement in supra-ventricular tachycardia, atrial flutter, premature ventricular contraction, atrial fibrillation, and ventricular tachycardia. Dr. Liu is also dexterous at implanting cardiac devices such as pacemaker, defibrillator and bi-ventricular defibrillator, etc. She has performed over 3000 cases in the past 10 years.
